Hair Care Guide

Virgin hair often requires high maintenance so take care of your extensions like you would your natural hair. The lifespan of your extensions are dependent on how well you take care of them! Condition condition condition! Your hair needs food so using a sulfate free or organic conditioner on your hair with a very tiny amount of shampoo will keep your hair healthy looking longer!!

Since our natural virgin hair is completely unprocessed and natural, some bundles may appear drier than others. Sometimes it simply needs to be moistened. Our hair is collected from India and Cambodia. We do double quality check each bundle before they are sent out. We inspect each hair to ensure the highest quality, once treated properly all of the hair we sell are of the best quality and will last for years.

Cleaning your Virgin Hair

These steps are highly recommended before installation, but can also be done post installation if you wish. These tips are highly recommended following this procedure for regular maintenance of your new hair investment;

  • Brush out the whole hair. Brush from the bottom up.

  • Wet the hair with warm water. Shampoo the hair with a quarter sized amount of shampoo.

  • Rinse the shampoo with warm water. Repeat the process one more time to make sure that the hair is absolutely clean.

  • Warm water helps open the cuticle and prepares the hair for the next step.

  • Apply a generous amount of conditioner, run your fingers through the hair from the top down. Scrunch the ends with conditioner, this remedies split ends with ease.

  • Comb the conditioner through with a wide toothcomb.

  • Rinse the conditioner out with luke warm water.

  • Pat dry with a towel. Do not rub the hair to dry it, gently pat.

  • Apply a leave in conditioner, hair serum or leave in treatment to control frizz and to keep your hair healthy.

  • Repeat the above steps frequently.

  • To keep natural curls or waves in your hair, leave hair to air dry after washing. Blow drying will straighten your although your natural curls or waves will settle back in your hair later.

Don’t forget to apply a quality leave-in conditioner (Argan oil, Moroccan oil, serum). A curl activator solution is also suitable for your curly locks. Since your hair already is made with natural curl a product used sparingly will simply tame your tresses and result in more defined curls.

  • Perform a deep conditioning at least once a month. A routine hair care regimen is vital for proper upkeep of our 100% natural human hair products. The more you take care of your hair, the better you protect your investment... Ultimately leading to a happier you.

Daily or every other day routine for your curly hair

How often you wash it depends on how often you wear it and how often you put creams and moisturizers in. Applying moisturizers for more than a week and a half without washing it creates build ups and makes the hair dull. So if you wear it frequently, please wash it every week since it looks all curly and soft each time you wash and condition it.  You don’t even have to apply shampoo each week, just condition and wash conditioner after leaving it in for some time.

  • Comb your hair with a wide toothcomb

  • Section your hair into two or three parts

  • Remember to put a towel around your neck

  • Put water in a spray bottle and add a small amount of leave in conditioner

  • Spray a fair amount in the different sections of your hair

  • Leave to dry.

  • This routine accentuates your curls and makes them look fresher.

  • Comb or brush your curls for a more Afro look whenever desired.

Remember to apply heat protecting sprays and serums before applying heat to your hair (hot irons and tongs).  Use only ceramic irons on dry hair and not hot stove irons. Ceramic irons distribute the heat evenly at lower temperatures’. Hot stove irons are too hot and can damage the hair.

Use only styling products without alcohol or sulphates’ as they dry out the hair.

Hair colouring

Our hair may also be chemically treated since it is 100 per cent organic. However, for getting the perfect colour, the hair is often bleached and then dyed again. Once the chemical treatment is completed, the cuticles get misaligned, which exposes the hair weave to greater risk of damage. However, like your own hair, constant conditioning and treatment is required after chemical processing. Once this is done, your hair should look beautiful and healthy.
